About

about

Eleanor Struewing (she/they) is a multimedia artist from Takoma Park, Maryland. She studied psychology and studio art at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as at the University of Glasgow and the Glasgow School of Art in Glasgow, Scotland. She now lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Her work, which spans many mediums and is created and
arranged with home in mind, invites viewers to enter into a moment. It celebrates the use of traditionally domestic materials and methods to weave together families of color and texture on paper, film, fabric, and more. Her work
also seeks to honor the untouchable aspects of the bodily and physical home — grief, god, joy, and the in between.
